What his colour means

Heist is a chocolate dapple with heavy white and two blue eyes. Because that combination raises the obvious question, here is the direct answer: his mother is not a dapple, so he carries a single dapple gene rather than two. He is not a double dapple.

That distinction is the whole ball game with this pattern. A double dapple — two merle parents — carries a genuine risk of deafness, blindness and malformed eyes. A single dapple like Heist carries none of that; his blue eyes are simply what one merle gene does to pigment. The dapple page explains the pairing rules in full.

Chocolate is not a dilute, so colour dilution alopecia does not apply to him either.

What is included at $1,000

Age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a vet health check, a one-year health guarantee, and a written record of both parents’ coat patterns. He is started on potty training and raised in the house rather than a kennel.
